UDTL was founded to provide full service for drug and alcohol, raw drug and paraphernalia, hair and DNA testing in Boise, Idaho. The management and staff toxicologists have over 50 years of combined experience in forensic laboratory services, especially in the analysis of drugs and alcohol from collection through interpretation. The collection and testing protocols have been specifically designed over the lab’s years to provide the highest quality service. Our professionals receive ongoing training to remain up-to-date on drug testing trends, equipment, and procedures.
Who We Are
Our business model started small, serving employers, drug counselors, attorneys, physicians, hospitals, parents, and individuals in Idaho. The company has now expanded to serve clients nationwide in the design solutions for establishing drug-free workplace programs and in its research and development of drug testing products.
At United Drug Testing Laboratory, Inc., our mission is to provide the highest levels of quality and service while reporting accurate test results quickly and competitively. We maintain the integrity of the original sample, provide absolute Chain-of-Custody documentation and legally defensible results, with expert testimony provided as needed. We pride ourselves on rapid response times, typically within 24 hours of receipt of the specimen for screening results.
Accurate, Fast Results UDTL controls each step of the drug testing process, minimizing possible delays and errors. We closely monitor each specimen throughout the testing lifecycle until results are reviewed and reported. Results are available via our secure, HIPAA-compliant website or any other method requested by the ordering party.
What We Do
Should the client's office be located beyond our courier service area, special packaging is provided for overnight shipping of secure specimens.
High Volume Screening
Our protocol includes high volume hair, urine, and saliva screening for results within 24 hours. This technology can identify any of 20 drugs, making it one of the most comprehensive portfolios available. We customize this list for each client depending on the individual requirements of the patient base.
UDTL's screening menu includes oxycodone (Oxycontin®, Percocet®), buprenorphine (Suboxone®), methadone, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), THC, propoxyphene, fentanyl, tramadol, meperidine, benzodiazepines, cocaine, ethanol, amphetamines, and barbiturates. In addition, special screening tests for other less commonly abused drugs may be available upon request.
Customizable Protocols
To better serve our clients, UDTL offers several protocols to meet the needs of specific markets. These have been designed by industry experts to encompass the entire drug testing lifecycle from how specimens are collected to the types of tests conducted to the formatting of reports. Further we work with each client to customize our protocols to better address unique requirements.
In-House Confirmation by LC/MS/MS
UDTL's protocols include confirmation testing following the initial screen. Not only was UDTL one of the first laboratories to offer in-house Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) and Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). This significantly reduces turnaround time and increases accuracy.
Medical Review
Drugs tests performed by UDTL may be reviewed by third-party physicians who are board-certified toxicologists. They compare the drug test results with prescribed medications to identify inconsistencies. Comments from these specialists are automatically appended to UDTL's test results for easy reference.
Web Portal
UDTL provides clients real-time access to test results via its secure website. This portal contains a variety of useful tools including a statistical report card on patient base compliance.
